Massage & Myofascial Release

Twenty-eight years of hands-on care, with massage and myofascial release under one roof. Every session begins with listening — whether you need deep, focused work, a slow reset, or sustained release of the fascia that's holding your pain in place.

About Myofascial Release

Fascia is the connective tissue web that surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve, and organ. Trauma, inflammation, and surgery can cause it to tighten, creating pressure that doesn't show up on standard imaging — but is very real to the person living with it.

Myofascial release applies gentle, sustained pressure into those restrictions. Rather than forcing the tissue, we wait with it, allowing the fascia to soften and lengthen on its own time. Because fascia is continuous throughout the body, the place that hurts is often not the place that needs the work.

Chronic patterns usually respond best to a short series of sessions rather than a single visit. Sessions are unhurried and collaborative, at a pace your nervous system can accept.

Good to Know

How Sessions Are Booked
I see massage and myofascial release clients at Lakes Wellness Spa in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. All appointments, including new-client visits, are scheduled through their online booking system so you always see live availability.
How Long a Session Runs
Custom massage runs 30 to 90 minutes; myofascial release and prenatal sessions run 60 or 90 minutes. Longer sessions leave room to address the surrounding tissue, not just the sore spot.
Payment & Insurance
Payment is handled directly at the time of service. Many clients use HSA or FSA (health spending account) funds — check with your plan for details.
